Q&A: What kind of cichlid can I put in my community tank?

Question by Pets are the best!: What kind of cichlid can I put in my community tank?
I am very interested in adding a cichlid to my semi-aggressive community tank. I will just say now that I am an experienced fish keeper and I know what I am doing but I have never owned cichlids before, and I just want a single one for my aquarium. I have the following fish in there:

Striped Raphael Catfish
Blue Gourami
2 Kissing Gourami
Platinum Gourami
Fiddler Crab (yes, he has access to air)
Ivory Snail
Australian Rainbowfish
Giant Danios
Pearl Danios
Golden Wonder Killifish
200 gallon

  • ><>ANGEL<><:

    the most peaceful cichlids include:
    rams
    kribensis(kribs)
    keyhole cichlids
    jewel
    orange chromides
some of those are kinda big though so the best choice here would be a kribensis cichlids also called kribs by many people they grow to like 4 inches max

  • !There is no cure for Ignorance!:

you could go for a single Kribenis cichlid they grow 4 inches keeping a pair would be disastrous as in the breeding season they get very aggressive hence why i have one in my tank his mate got killed and i was given him

problem with cichlids is they can get very aggressive during breeding so just add one kribenis
